Welcome to St Michael's
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you and your child to St. Michael's Church of England Primary Academy and The Ark. The Ark is a dedicated SEND unit which supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We aim to provide as much information about our school serving the parish of Tettenhall Regis.
As a highly, inclusive, Christian school, St Michael’s Church of England Primary Academy values everyone as a child of God and rejoices in its diversity. Our vision is to provide a happy, loving and nurturing community where all have the confidence to make outstanding progress and so expand and fulfil their hopes and aspirations. Our inspiring, enriched curriculum promotes a thirst for knowledge and develops wisdom, enabling all to flourish. What makes us truly unique is that we are a community where children are at the heart of every decision.
We provide children with a high-quality education. Whatever children’s experiences, backgrounds, aptitudes or difficulties, the academy has high expectations for their achievement and behaviour. A broad curriculum provides many opportunities to learn new things, both during and beyond the academy day and children respond well to this. Children engage fully in academy life, grow in confidence and achieve well. Children are inspired to learn here because our dedicated teachers provide engaging learning opportunities that motivate and spark curiosity. These opportunities foster intellectual thinking, encourage exploration, and are both achievable and exciting for all learners.
In our recent Inspection, Ofsted said ‘Sitting at the heart of the academy’s success is leaders’ ambition for all to succeed and thrive.’ (October 2024). One of the lasting impressions visitors to St Michael's CofE Primary Academy often comment on is the sense of love and kindness that is evident on entering the academy.
We look forward to welcoming you to our school and working in partnership to support every child to thrive and succeed.
Kind regards
Mrs K Jackson
