Welcome to the Year 2 Class page!
In the Summer term our topic focus will be all about London!
First, in our history lessons we will be learning about the Great Fire of London in 1666, how the fire started and how it changed the way houses were built and the changes it made to the fire service in the years since.
After half term we switch to a Geography focus where we will look at the physical and human features of our capital city, London and the other capital cities in the UK.
Our writing and reading lessons will be based on 'Vlad and the Great Fire of London' by Kate Cunningham and 'The Hodgeheg' by Dick King Smith.
Our RE topics this term focus on:
Summer 1 - Gospel 'What is the good news that Jesus brings?'
Summer 2 - Courageous Advocacy 'How can I make a difference in the world?'
